Over the summer break, my family and I did a road trip to Byron Bay, we drove from Melbourne all the way to Northern NSW and saw first hand how Australia is on fire.

Australia has always had bushfires, it’s part of our DNA. But not like this.

With our current dry drought, we’re expected this to be a long dry season. Thousands of Aussies are staying back to protect their livelihood. And many of the firefighters are volunteers.

Every day people are real firefighters too. They are our:

  • Mothers
  • Fathers
  • Farmers
  • Teachers
  • Bakers

They are our unsung heroes.

I AirBnB’d at Andy & Deb’s cattle farm with my girls and learned a lot in the short time we were there. Noting we were on holiday so I wasn’t prepared to vlog but felt it was important to share their story

Enjoy todays vlog

PS: Here is a link to the farm stay, I highly recommend it
