Expanding Our Footprint: Why CreativeCubes.Co is Doubling Down to Service 50% of Sydney’s Coworking Business
CreativeCubes.Co has always believed in creating environments that inspire people to do their best work.
Since launching in Melbourne, we’ve grown from a small team with a big vision into a national group operating under the broader Cubes.Co banner.
Today, we’re excited to share the next chapter in our journey: expanding significantly into Sydney and beyond.
We’ve set a bold goal to have 50% of our total co-working footprint located in New South Wales within the next three years.
Here’s why, how, and what these thrilling developments mean for our community.
Why are We Setting Up Shop in Sydney?
Sydney is arguably the strongest co-working market in Australia. It’s vibrant, well-connected, and full of innovative companies doing exciting things. The demand we’re seeing from startups to corporate branches is a clear sign that businesses are seeking flexible, well-serviced environments where they can focus on growth without compromise.
Many of our clients in Victoria have even asked for a Sydney presence.
Having a strong ecosystem across multiple states means they can work fluidly between cities without leaving our network and without compromising on culture, service, or quality. That’s the experience we aim to deliver.
Planning for Strategic Growth Across States
We’re currently on track to grow our national footprint to 14 hubs and over 35,000 square metres of space by the start of 2026.
Here’s what that expansion looks like:
Sydney, NSW
Our first Sydney hub is currently under construction in Investa’s landmark tower at 347 Kent Street: a premium 2,600 sqm space tailored to suit modern enterprise needs. This site will launch under our CorporateCubes brand in early 2026, marking the start of an ambitious expansion plan across NSW.
Adelaide, SA
We’re also thrilled to be entering Adelaide with not one, but two sites.
The first CreativeCubes hub will open at 30 Pirie Street in partnership with Quintessential and MaxCap.
The second site, located at 100 King William Street, will open shortly under the CorporateCubes brand.
Victoria
Victoria remains a key pillar of our business. With 11 hubs across Melbourne and Geelong, including our newest locations in East Melbourne (with stunning views of the MCG) and Balaclava, we continue to invest deeply in our home state.
Over time, we anticipate Victoria will represent around 30% of our overall footprint.
The Cubes.Co Group Explained
As we’ve grown, so has our structure. To better serve the needs of diverse clients, from solo founders to Fortune 500 companies, we’ve evolved into the Cubes.Co Group, with several complementary brands:
- CreativeCubes.Co: Focused on startups, creatives, and high-growth businesses.
- CorporateCubes: A new brand purpose-built for corporate, government, and enterprise clients.
- MicDrop: Our events arm offering fully kitted venues for workshops, launches, and presentations.
- Timber + Greens: Our in-house hospitality team provides fresh, nourishing food and world-class coffee across our hubs.
This ecosystem enables us to meet our clients wherever they are in their growth journey, providing a consistent and high-quality experience tailored to their specific scale and needs.
Building Stronger Communities
From day one, our vision has been about more than just desks and Wi-Fi. We’re here to build communities where ideas can flourish, teams can grow, and individuals can feel empowered. Our decision to expand our national footprint isn’t just about business strategy; it’s about helping our members unlock new opportunities across Australia.
A large number of companies today operate on a national or global scale, and remote-first models are becoming the norm. By creating a seamless experience across cities, we ensure that members can walk into any of our hubs, whether it’s in East Melbourne, Sydney CBD, or Adelaide’s business district, and feel instantly at home.
Coworking Spaces Serving a Wide Range of Clients
Our spaces are already home to an impressive and growing list of brands, including:
- Virgin
- Lululemon
- Arup
- Gami Chicken
- Judo Bank
- Rapid7
- Mortgage Choice
- Countless startups, creatives, and solo operators
We’re seeing strong demand for customised 40-50 person offices alongside the traditional 1-10 person spaces.
Whether it’s a financial services firm, engineering consultancy, or high-net-worth family office, we’re building spaces that cater to these exact needs.
Landlord Partnerships & Smart Space Activation
One of the key drivers of our Sydney and Adelaide expansions has been the strength of our relationships with landlords.
As vacancy rates remain elevated in major cities, building owners are seeking long-term partners who can activate underutilised floors and create community-driven value.
We’re seeing a shift away from mega 5,000 sqm hubs. Instead, we’re taking a more thoughtful, tailored approach – activating 2,000-2,500 sqm spaces that deliver strong financial returns for landlords and optimal usability for tenants.
Our goal is to bring energy and utility back into these buildings—and it’s working.
Leading with Technology and Events
We take pride in offering more than just office space. Our tech platform and meeting room business have become major pillars of our value proposition:
- 50-60% of meeting room bookings come from outside our hubs, showing strong external demand.
- We’ve invested heavily in leading-edge, low-touch, high-connectivity technology to simplify access, streamline services, and enhance collaboration.
- MicDrop private events and corporate events continue to bring in clients from every sector, creating additional revenue streams and community value.
This multi-layered approach is key to our long-term sustainability and to the experience we want every member and guest to have.
What’s Next for Cubes.Co Group?
By early 2026, we’ll be operating 14 hubs across Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Geelong, with more on the horizon. As we continue to build, we remain committed to:
- Creating space that inspires.
- Designing ecosystems that support long-term success.
- Championing flexible, community-driven work environments.
This is only the beginning. Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur, a scaling startup, or a large corporate team, we’re building something just for you, right where you need it.
